Reed diffusers are a wonderful way to add a consistent and subtle fragrance to your space. They work especially well in smaller areas such as bathrooms, hallways, or cosy rooms where the scent can gently circulate and linger.

Where to place your diffuser:

For the best scent throw, place your reed diffuser near walkways or areas with light foot traffic—like hallways or near doorways. Every time someone walks by, the air movement helps circulate the fragrance, making the scent more noticeable throughout your space.

How To Use:

Once opened, place it in your desired room and wait 1 hour before flipping the reeds to ensure they’re fully soaked. After this, flip the reeds every week to maintain a consistent fragrance and maximise the diffuser’s scent throw.

Give it time to bloom:
Your reed diffuser will begin releasing its fragrance within 24 to 36 hours as the reeds soak up the oil and start to disperse the scent into the air.

Try to avoid placing your reed diffuser in direct sunlight or near heat sources like radiators. Heat can cause the fragrance oil to evaporate too quickly, which means your diffuser won’t last as long. Keeping it in a cool, shaded spot helps the scent last and stay consistent over time.

After handling your reeds, wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds to remove any fragrance oils. This will prevent oils from transferring onto clothing, furniture, or other surfaces.

On average, you can expect your reed diffuser to last on average 4-8 weeks. However, several factors can influence how long the fragrance will last. The placement of your diffuser is key—if it's positioned in a high-traffic or drafty area (such as near a door, window, or air vent), the scent may disperse more quickly, reducing its lifespan. Air temperature also plays a significant role; warmer environments tend to increase the rate of evaporation, causing the fragrance oil to be used up more rapidly, while cooler temperatures may help it last longer.

How often you flip the reeds will also affect the longevity. Flipping them more frequently—such as every few days—can refresh the scent and make it more noticeable, but it will also cause the oil to deplete faster. Conversely, flipping less often will preserve the oil but may result in a subtler fragrance.

Each diffuser comes with 10 reeds, which is ideal for a full, consistent fragrance throw (the strength and reach of the scent in a space). If you prefer a lighter aroma or want to extend the life of your diffuser, you can use fewer reeds. Fewer reeds will slow down the rate at which the fragrance oil is drawn up and dispersed into the air, resulting in a more subtle scent experience over a longer period.
